How to Open & Operate a Financially Successful Personal Training Business: With Companion CD-ROM

How to Open & Operate a Financially Successful Personal Training Business: With Companion CD-ROMI think this book covered every single aspect of starting a personal training business. I liked that its started off with what makes a successful personal trainer on an individual basis before jumping into how to start and operate a successful business. It even gave examples of dialogue between trainer and clients. I think anyone who reads this book will pick up a few tips on how to improve themselves as a trainer, making this a good book to read even if you don't end up running your own business.

Another thing that I like about this book is that it's a great resource for institutions where once can gain certification in a variety of fitness areas. I also liked that it gives realistic marketing ideas like creating published advertisements and even blogging.

If you are considering starting a personal training business, this book is a great place to start.

For anyone who has ever dreamed of self-employment in the fitness arena, this book is for you.

In an easy-to-read format, How to Open & Operate a Financially Successful Personal Training Business guides the reader through a process of self reflection to determine if you have what it takes to realize the dream of operating a personal training business. The book not only speaks to what skills are required from a fitness perspective, it also offers a look at the type of business savvy required to drive such a business.

In a detailed layout, well-planned chapters educate the reader as to what types of business models can be considered when opening a personal training business. It also offers the reader guidance in developing a strategic business plan and marketing plan both necessary for any successful business.

If I were considering self-employment in the field of fitness, this is certainly one book I would rely on every step of the way, from initial planning and business basics to overcoming hurdles and evaluating success.

NOT worth it, unless you have NO business sense!

This book is the most basic of basics. Unless you have NEVER ran a business and have NO business sense, it is NOT worth buying.

Virtually ALL the info in this book, you will know IF you have ever ran a business.

If you do NOT have any background, you can get this information at any business site, e.g. SBA. or just do Google searches for Projected balance sheets, etc. etc.

The inf on the CD-ROM you will most likely have if you have been a trainer for any length of time Training Logs and the like.

On one of the Excel spread sheets that are on the CD, it has HANDKERCHIEFS as one of the items. Obviously, the author got this off the internet somewhere himself.

I bought the book because the founder of PEAK SCIENCE gave the forward hum!

John Peragine reveals every aspect of the personal training industry in How to Open and Operate a Financially Successful Personal Training Business. This book takes on the huge task of being the "go-to" guide for the workout hobbyist seeking to turn a hobby into a career as well as the personal training professional interested in beginning his or her own physical fitness empire.

This text clearly explains every step in the process; however, the order in which the reader should complete the steps is not as clear creating some repetition. Topics include business administration, professional certification, business plan development, business taxes and personal training ethics. This book also supplies useful worksheets, case studies, links and tips giving the reader an accurate picture of the requirement for success not only as a business owner but also as a personal trainer throughout the business lifecycle.

While the discussion of business plans seemed to come too early in the text, making for a hefty first chapter, Peragine provides a thorough reference manual that carefully details what is necessary to build a successful personal training business.

I am really enjoyingthis book and am almost done with it. I am able to use most of the information in my venture to start my own business. It clarifies some of the aspects of bookkeeping, accounting, types of enterprises, management, marketing, surveying, planning, and counseling as related to a new business. However, I assumed that anyone who wanted to open a training company would already know something about being certified and wouls have had experience in the field. I skipped a couple of chapters because it addresses VERY basic topics, such as deciding whether training is right for you, and how to obtain a certification and experience. I have been working in the field long enough to know the industry, and although I know that not everyone has had experience, I think most people who are comfortable enough to start their own venture probably have a grasp on the experience they need. The rest of the book, however, is VERY helpful. I have notes on the pages EVERYWHERE, and continue to refer back to it in my planning process. The included CD is also wonderful!

Helping Yourself Help Others: A Book for Caregivers

Helping Yourself Help Others: A Book for CaregiversMy five star rating for this book is because when it was published and when I first read it it was uptodate and a leader for resources. Very few books were written to give those who care for loved ones places to find answers. Most available books concentrated on specific conditions and the patients. Also at the time, the web didn't have the helpful, informative sites of today. Personally, I would love to see Mrs. Carter update the book to include the email adresses and web sites for the sources listed.

My mother had been having a series of TIA's when I found this book. Several months later she had a full fledged stroke. I was her main caregiver until she required full time skilled care outside the home. When she was hospitalized and then in a nursing home setting, I continued to be her medical surrogate. As such, I found this book not only a wealth of information, but also a great inspiration. Much of the encouragement and advice given, falls in line with the Hospice literature I received in the final month of my mother's life. It is important for caregivers to understand there are places to receive help to let them care for themselves besides the patient. It can all be so overwhelming to try to do it all and so unnecessary to be alone. Beyond that, the book helps to educate to be able to ask questions about medical, social, emotional, and economic issues to insure the best quality care.

This volume is filled with love and respect and I cannot recommend it enough. I even donated a copy to our local library.

Great Breads: Home-Baked Favorites from Europe, the British Isles & North America

Great Breads: Home-Baked Favorites from Europe, the British Isles & North AmericaThis was the first true, dedicated bread cookbook I ever bought. I believe I bought it when I was 19... and it is still one of my favorites.

Though I now own around 30 bread books, this book using many straight dough recipes that still produce full-flavored breads. There are quite a variety of recipes but nothing too complicated that a beginner would feel intimidated.

Try the oatmeal breadthe technique produces the nicest textured, best flavored oatmeal bread I have ever made. 12 years after buying this book, it remains one of my all-time favorite breads.

This is the most reliable bread book in my kitchen. I have all the new Star Artisan Baker hoopla books, but this is the one that I use most. It skips all the bread pieties but still gives you artisan flavors and good recipes. Publicity is not the same thing as quality in a book of recipes.

If you want super bread along artisan lines, try this book. It also has some standard American pan loaves, if that's your thing. And did I say it was reliable? I've had no failures with it in dozens of tries.

Buy Great Breads: Home-Baked Favorites from Europe, the British Isles & North America Now

There are many very good bread books available these days; unfortunately, this book is not one of them. My main objection is the over use of whole grains, as they produce textures that are course, dry, and heavy. If you are interested in whole-grain breads, this book is a treasure trove of hard to find recipes. I was more impressed with the quantity than the quality of the bread recipes. Some worked better than others, but I was not overly crazy about any of the breads I made from this book.

There is a serious problem with the measurement of flour. It calls for stir and scoop method of flour measurement. The appendix lists the weight of one cup of flour as 5 ounces; when I did it, I got exactly 4 ounces. So, I am unsure exactly how much flour to use in the recipes, and weighing the flour (the usual professional solution) is of no help here. Plus, the author prefers wet doughs with a high hydration level (a method popularized by Poilane, who appears in the introduction of the book); this does produce lighter, airier bread, but it is significantly more difficult for the beginner to do than a dough with a standard hydration. If you do want to try these recipes, I suggest you use more flour (try 20% to begin with) than listed to get a firmer dough; kneading will be much easier. It is also unclear what the author means by "unbleached white flour": is it all-purpose flour or bread flour? Based on the ingredient balance in the whole grains chapter, I am assuming it is the latter. I used bread flour throughout, but still often got dense, under-developed doughs that will not window-pane correctly, telling me that the author might have been using a special, high gluten wheat flour. In order for the whole wheat bread recipes to work, you must use whole wheat bread flour, even though the author does not specify as such. I would also ignore the author's instructions to add flour to the liquid a little at a time; for a beginner, it would be better to simply use all the flour and liquid at once in the beginning. Many recipes have instructions for both hand kneading and mixer.

The first chapter has a fairly good primer on the various aspects of bread: dough, risings, baking, etc. The main failing here is the author does a poor job of describing when a dough has been properly proofed. Too often, the author gives a time specification (which will probably not be correct, depending on how warm the weather is) along with the standard "until doubled" (with an oval or round loaf, how are you supposed to determine this? Just by looking at it?).

The chapter on whole grain breads produced heavy, dense, inedible loaves suitable only as construction material. Most of the recipes call for 3 risings, but some of them will not rise the third time. It often also calls for mixing in only part of the flour, fermenting that, then adding the rest of the flour; there was no apparent advantage to just adding all the flour at once (in fact, the author's 2 part mixing was more trouble and more time consuming with no apparent advantage). The British must have more tolerance for eating wood than Americans; from this intriguing chapter, I found only the Baps to be edible. The recipes for Indian breads were very good.

The chapter on sourdough gets applause for a good try, but it has too many questions to be recommendable. Sourdough does not "spread out quickly" when turned out of a banneton. I also object to the suggestion that levain or doughs be left out at room temperature for 12 hours or more. This might be OK in Britain where it is cool, but in the U.S., especially in summer, the yeast will die off if you do because it is too warm; after a few hours at a warm room temperature, they should be put in the refrigerator overnight. Only one recipe, Pain de Campagne, uses only sourdough levain; all the others use commercial yeast in addition. This is a good convenience, but you will not get much sourdough taste if you do, and the author does not have conversion instructions if you do want use all levain. Also, the doughs call for far too much whole grains; I find that at most you can add 10% whole grains to a sourdough before you get something like a boat anchor (it seems that I can use kamut and spelt up to 20%). On the good side, the recipes seem to be based on actual experience rather than myth and rumor about sourdough (which is more common in baking books than you might suspect). She also has instructions, albeit brief ones, for both sourdough levain and Italian biga.

The chapters on savory and sweet breads were mostly recreations of the sort of breads you get at a traditional English high tea. The rather light breads you would normally expect from these chapters used far too much rye, whole wheat, durum, etc. "Fruit-Filled Bread" is described as "pleasantly heavy" (come again?). The chapter on crackers had several valuable recipes, although I had to increase the baking temperature to get the correct, crunchy texture. I had difficulty getting anything edible from the 2 chapters on quick breads, although there where several good scone recipes. The last 2 chapters have recipes for stale breads, and some interesting troubleshooting information.

The Wardrobe Wakeup: Your Guide to Looking Fabulous at Any Age

The Wardrobe Wakeup: Your Guide to Looking Fabulous at Any AgeThis book is the first thing I've ever returned to Amazon. I bought it because I read a favorable review in the newspaper but it turns out the review was misleading.

This book is written for wealthy women in the size 2 to 6 range. If I had a boat load of money and was size 2 to 6, I wouldn't need any help with my wardrobe.

The photos were not helpful. She occasionally spoke of types of clothing that I'd never heard of -a photo would have clarified.

She describes different ways to tie scarves. Really? Describes?! Of all places where photos or, at least, diagrams -or both -would be expected.

There's no index, which hints at how casually the book is organized. If there's something specific you want to know about, good luck. You have to go hunting and maybe you'll find it, if you have the patience.

My advice -save your money. Borrow the book from the library and glean what few useful tips you can.

Every woman over 40 MUST read this marvelous book! Lois makes looking your best attainable, practical, fun and eye opening.

There are wonderful ideas about revamping clothes that seem dated, dressing appropriately and discovering your own personal

style. I love the fact that all of the models are real women over 40. They're NOT professional models and yet they look terrific.

They are confident in themselves and their appearance. I've been waiting a long time for a book that really cares about the beauty

of aging. Lois has really addressed this subject with sensitivity, knowledge and imagination. Thank you, Lois!! I've ordered 8 copies;

great gifts for every woman I know.

This book was such a disappointment. The book is a collection of tips and tricks, very few of which I'd ever use. (Wear a cardigan with sleeves tied around your waist instead of a skirt?! C'mon.) The tone and voice in this book was completely different from The Makeup Wakeup, which she co-authored with makeup artist Sandi Linter. While The Makeup Wakeup offered straightforward and no-nonsense practical advice for a variety of specific issues, this book was full of fluff delivered in a cloying "girlfriend" tone. The author's favorite catchphrase was, "Me too! Same thing!" which was repeated many times, even when it didn't make any sense in the context. I guess that was meant to communicate, "See! You and I are exactly alike! Except I am a former fashion editor! Let me show you my scrapbook! That's me with Lauren Hutton. . ."

There were one or two women in the book whose styles I admired, but many looked like they need a fashion makeover. (Me too! Same thing!)

Unlike The Makeup Wakeup, which was full of specific, step-by-step advice, this book offered almost nothing about about color, body type, fit, or different types of cuts/fabrics in skirts or jackets. . . really nothing that I would expect to see in a fashion advice text. Instead, there were a lot of little fashion-mag style blurbs, like "stop wearing short minis" and "leopard is the new neutral." (I guess so, if you want to look like a cougar.)

I bought this book after borrowing (and reluctantly returning to the library) The Makeup Wakeup. I wish I'd bought that book instead.

THE WARDROBE WAKEUP book is like a great mystery suspence story...Once you read the first page, you can't put it down! Lois shares the knowledge of an industry pro with the gleeful sensitivity of having your best friend telling you what she really thinks. This book is so visually appealing and helpful, I am recommending or gifting it to every woman I know who loves fashion and wants to find or enhance the look that's right for her.

My closet has nice pants/jeans, dresses, tops, sweaters, etc. But I always have the hardest time pulling together an outfit that really looks great. After reading Lois' book I have a lot more confidence in mixing things up and feeling that I've come up with a great combination, that has that something special. What makes it look chic and stylish can be elusive. I just felt that I didn't have the knack for it, but I was wrong. I just needed some guidance. Thanks Lois!

Eureka! Memories and Motivations: A Strategy for Creating a Healing Home for the Stroke / Brain Inju

Eureka! Memories and Motivations: A Strategy for Creating a Healing Home for the Stroke / Brain Injury Patient and CaregiverI was searching for practical assistance after bringing my eighty-nine year old mother home from a lengthy hospital stay.

She had suffered serious oxygen deprivation as the result of severe COPD and pneumonia and we were hoping to be able to help her back to a reasonable level of independent living.

Madonna's book not only provided helpful suggestions to assist in Mom's recovery; it also gave us support. Madonna gave us "permission" to accept all of our emotions (even the not so altruistic ones). Madonna explains why it is not just OK to be good to yourself but that it is absolutely necessary. She provides practical everyday ways to keep the spirit of the caregiver from totally tanking.

At a time when both the patient and the caregiver are in one of the most difficult situations of their lives this book may offer a little help and hope!

Eureka! is just what the doctor ordered for every overwhelmed and weary person, thrust unwittingly into the role of caregiver to a brain injured loved one. Author Madonna Siles is the friend you want to have if you've been forced to travel that frightening and lonely road.

Almost cracking under the pressure of trying to bring her dear friend, Eve, back from the effects of a devastating brain aneurysm, Siles developed her own method of coping. With a comfortable, non-intimidating style she generously shares the innovative steps she developed, based on her own life experiences, to give Eve the Eureka! moments that brought her back from almost non-responsive to 90% of her former self. All of this while saving her own sanity.

As the Baby Boomers cling to the hope of "a little more quality time" for elderly parents whose minds are slipping away, the search is on for some form of help. Whether facing the effects of an injury or the ravages of time, Eureka! just may be the answer to the prayers of many a desperate caregiver.

Buy Eureka! Memories and Motivations: A Strategy for Creating a Healing Home for the Stroke / Brain Inju Now

I settled in one Sunday afternoon with Madonna Siles' new book "Eureka! Memories and Motivations: A Strategy for Creating a Healing Home for the Stroke / Brain Injury Patient and Caregiver" unsure what to expect. I knew it would be a good "read" because I enjoyed her previous book "Brain, Heal Thyself: A Caregiver's New Approach to Recovery from Stroke, Aneurysm, And Traumatic Brain Injuries", about her friend Eve's and Madonna's journey from a level 5 brain aneurysm through recovery, but beyond that I had no expectations.

What I discovered was a memoir and self-help guide through one of life's most difficult journeys. Packed with a great deal of common-sense advice from someone who has literally "been there, done that", Madonna had the strength, foresight and wherewithal to document her journey as Eve's caregiver. What worked and what didn't. The daily frustrations. The debilitating mental fatigue. She shares it all with her readers. Aware that if she flagged as a caregiver because of mental stress, physical exhaustion, or lack of inspiration Eve's recovery would flag too, Madonna persevered through tough, challenging times.

Siles offers hands-on, practical tips and exercises designed to re-wire or re-ignite lost memories and skills in the brain-injured patient. She's honest enough to say that her methods may not work for everyone, but when she was faced as a caregiver to a brain-injured patient and was given no direction or advice for continued therapy from the medical community, she knew she had to do something, had to find something, some plan, that would get Eve back on the road to brain recovery.

She also stresses the importance of keeping the caregiver's mental attitude strong under trying circumstances. Exercises designed to reduce stress, promote relaxation, aid worry-free sleep are important and often overlooked by the harried and overwhelmed caregiver.

Despite the serious topic, Siles' book if filled with humor and personal and relative memories from her own interesting and challenging life. At the end of each engaging chapter, Madonna suggests intriguing activities to aid the caregiver. Finally the 21-day motivational workbook at the end of the book is packed with thoughtful exercises for the caregiver and patient alike. Even those of us not immediately confronted with the daily difficulties of caring for a brain-injured patient can, and will, appreciate the deceptively simple daily plans, meditations, and reflections and Siles common sense approach in the face of one of life's biggest challenges.

... this is an excellent book with ideas, encouragement and a good testimony. I was impressed and read it cover to cover in short time and I'm planning on going back slowly and using these ideas and information to help my husband as he's healing for a traumatic brain injury from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm and surgery.

Want Eureka! Memories and Motivations: A Strategy for Creating a Healing Home for the Stroke / Brain Inju Discount?

I'm a caregiver to my husband, Patrick, who has had a stroke around 1 and half year ago, and is still staying in rehab hospital.

Around a year ago Patrick had barely passed the swallowing test, to finish up a cup of milk or oatmeal took him at least 45 mins. He couldn't walk nor talk (the tracheotomy was just weaned), cognitive level was close to zero, let alone having any interaction or communication with me. Then I came across Siles' Brain heal thyself, and it had helped me go through the toughest time of my life.

Eureka! is the 2nd book from Siles, and it's just as good as the previous one.

I'm not going to sugarcoat the whole thing. Stroke is a brutal disease and most of the times, it's beyond our control to have it recovered or not. It's brutal not only to the patient but also to his/her loved ones, after all, our lives have completely changed because of it and we caregivers require additional love and strength to go through each day. To become a better caregiver so that our loved ones can be healed better: we need to eat well, sleep well and pray hard for our strength and power, and read the right books for our mental nutrition Bible or any Spiritual book works wonders, and so does this one.

Eureka! has taught me how to relax myself from the hectic caregiver's schedule. My intuition and creativity are generated ONLY during my relaxation mode. They can help to pick up my husband's signals faster and stimulate his minds and memories for better recovery, but most importantly, to have fun and worry free together on this recovery journey. Fun is something often will be disregarded of when it comes to rehabilitate severe illness like stroke and have it replaced with anxiety. But on the contrary, we need to incorporate fun to our daily routines of the rehabilitation treatments; because the brain only learns and recreates better through games and relaxation. Everyone is different when it comes to have fun and creative, you need to develop your own ways to help your loved one. And this book teaches you how.

Now, a year later, by the time I finished "Eureka!" not long ago, Patrick is able to walk with one person aiding, make phone calls and communicate with single word, do some simple math (grade 3 or 4 level), watch the entire movie in the theater with full comprehension and sing his favorite songs all the time. Eating is not a problem anymore, trust me, he eats more than I do and even was asked to maintain his weight(a.k.a. diet) so that he can walk better later.

If you ever want a good brain injury rehab book to help out(from the bottom of my heart, you won't ever need that), or simply want to relax and have a good fun read, you can't go wrong with Eureka!

Good luck to you all caregivers out there.

Mother Nature's Herbal: A Complete Guide for Experiencing the Beauty, Knowledge & Synergy of Everyth

Mother Nature's Herbal: A Complete Guide for Experiencing the Beauty, Knowledge & Synergy of Everything That GrowsThis book is perfect for the kitchen witch, or for anyone who enjoys folklore and herbal remedies. Great read, and great advice!

I found this book to be most helpful. It covers everything from basic herbs and their uses to what plants work best together in your garden. Not to mention the tons of receipts for every herb mentioned throughout this book...and there are a lot of herbs in this book. I highly recommend this to book to anyone that uses herbs to grow, cook with or for medicinal reasons.

I purchased this book from a local bookstore in hopes of supporting a local author and fellow gardener. Mostly, it is an interesting read, but much of it appears to be a review of other previously published compilations of herbals. From a stodgy point of view, my reservtions about this book and the author came from the utter lack of good references. For example: the author states that the dutch oven was invented by Dr. Benjamen Franklin. A simple internet search would tell you quite a different story. Many of the "facts" presented in this book's narrative are done without any references. With that foremost in my mind, I wonder about the information presented regarding health and herbal tonics. I am being most generous with my rating because much of what she has compiled is useful; however, it can be found in other respected accounts with solid, verified references. I now wish I had just purchased it used instead of paying full price!

This review originally appeared on The Magical Buffet website on 5/17/08.

Those of you who know me, know that nature and I do not get along. I am allergic to just about anything that grows: trees, flowers, grass, and hair on all the cuddliest of pets. This may cause you to ask, why in the world would I ask to review "Mother Nature's Herbal" by Judith Griffin. Easy, I never developed any food allergies and this girl loves to eat! I was excited to learn what things I ate and drank that may already be beneficial and if there were any other yummy options out there to try.

Well "Mother Nature's Herbal" met, and exceeded, my expectations. After being out of print for nearly ten years, I can understand why it has been brought back. Firstly, the book is a visual dream. The cover has a beautiful aged Victorian appearance, and there are delightful vintage illustrations throughout. Enough about the visuals though, because books are to be read!

This book is insanely thorough. I've read my fair share of "herbals" before, and the amount of information here buries all of them combined. Section one is entitled "A Cultural Herbal" and man she isn't kidding around! Native American, Mayan, colonial America, medieval era, Indian, Oriental, Mediterranean, and other cultures are all represented here. Unlike other books, Griffin doesn't just give you a list and move on. Each chapter gives you a lesson in the culture and history of herbal use of the region, along with the author's personal experiences of learning and working with the herbs. In addition, the big pay off for me...recipes! For instance, want to know how to make a colonial Thanksgiving turkey, pesto genovese, or paneer? Then buy this book! Now, not only can I justify my love of Indian food because of its herbal health benefits, I can try making some of my favorite dishes!

The second section of "Mother Nature's Herbal" is "Grow and Use Your Own Herbs". Not being the hands in the earth kind of gal, this part wasn't nearly as exciting. That said, it was detailed, but written plainly enough, that even a indoors gal like myself could clearly understand how to grow a garden. Griffin covers just about anything you may want to know: how to grow your herbs organically, landscape plans for themed herb gardens, using old roses, and so much more.

After that, she advises you on what to do with your herbal harvests, such as herb vinegars, no salt herbal blends, teas, and again, much more. There is also a section devoted to the use of essential oils and flower essences that you may make out of your harvest. There's even a growing guide, nutrient guide, and purchasing guide in the appendices.

"Mother Nature's Herbal" is a fabulous resource, whether you're a gardener, or just someone who likes to learn more about the food you eat.

Style Eyes

Style Eyesthis is a fun yet slightly predictable book. It starts off with the basics of eyes, the tools, eye shapes, false lashes etc. It is fairly repetitive of other makeup books in that respect but Chang keeps it quick and to the point, I like that. She then goes into the fun stuff, she does more than just your basic smokey eye look and your daytime work look. She uses bright and vibrant colors, i believe there is a look with some rhinestones on it, and some fun lip looks. As for step by step looks, she only has 2, and they are how to acheive the smokey look. The other eye looks in the book simply give you the color she uses and a tool to apply it. So for beginners looking on a how to, this might not be a really helpful books, but for those who have the basics of makeup technique down, replicating the looks is easy to do. Througout the book, she has a variety of eye shapes but not a variety of skin tones. Overall it isn't a bad book to have in the collection, I can see myself looking at it for a nice quick and easy look if i'm in a makeup rut.

I got this book as a gift and plan to buy 3 more for all my makeup junkie friends! I'm a busy mom of 2 beautiful and super active boys who never gave up her love of makeup. I don't have time to go to the Mac counter to learn how to do a smokey eye and now I don't have to. Chang-Babaian lays it all out for you. She also states that you don't have to throw out your shimmery eyeshadow just because you're 35 plus. As a Latina, I like the fact that women of all ethnicities are included. The women look real and beautiful instead of model-types. I know this is a book I will return to again and again.

I really liked this book when I got it, and then I realized why I liked it. I already own it. Actually -twice. This book is essentially parts of Kevyn Aucoin's "Making Faces" and "Face/Forward" but with no acknowledgment for inspiration. Everything from the fonts, to the photography, to the names of the looks is all Aucoin. I'm not saying the author did this on purpose, but I bet that she is familiar with these beauty tomes which unwittingly guided her when she started to design her own book.

It's too badbecause the book is filled with great tips and easy-to-follow instructions. However, Aucoin died a decade ago, so he doesn't have a voice in this. I feel that it's only fair to acknowledge his work.

This book is a pretty big disappointment. I was expecting lots and lots of ideas on different ways on how to wear eye make up with different colors and different types of eye shadows matt, shimmers, and glitters. But, sadly there are just a few and they are not special at all. The only real step-by-step that includes several photo's for each step is the part on smokey eyes. That's it. I'm really shocked why so many people rate this book so high.
