Toward Daylight: Becoming a writer, despite everything

Toward Daylight: Becoming a writer, despite everythingKarner's quiet wit and delicious writing style draw you into the story of her struggle with overcoming physical and emotional turmoil. The reader is thrown headfirst into the simple lifestyle chosen by the author and her husband, which causes you to take inventory of your own hectic life.

I was sad to reach the end of the story part of your well-written book and wanted to continue reading. Hurry, hurry, hurry with your next book! The travelogue section makes me feel like I am actually experiencing a place I will probably never have an opportunity to visit! It has inspired me to look for attractions right in my own area that I've never been to before!

Reading Toward Daylight by Tracy Karner was like entering into her world as she struggled and celebrated her journey through life.

It caused me to reflect on the people in my life and the journey we are on. I plan to visit many of the restaurants and inn's that she

refers to in her book. I highly recommend this book.

The Caregiver's Essential Handbook : More than 1,200 Tips to Help You Care for and Comfort the Senio

The Caregiver's Essential Handbook : More than 1,200 Tips to Help You Care for and Comfort the Seniors in Your LifeThis book is a compact, well written guide to helping those who care for seniors and seniors who care for themselves. It is short, simple, and well written. It is packed full of good advice and essential resources for seniors and those who help care for them

The book is divided into logical sections that deal with caregiver and senior issues. These issues are presented in simple bite sized pieces. They are easy to understand and easy to use. Most of the information is good advice for not only caregivers but all of us.

Not only are the authors obviously experienced caregivers but they have inserted thoughtful anecdotes from people who are caregivers throughout the book. The authors are also quite obviously caring and concerned. One of their most salient points that they make over and over is that we will all be seniors at one point or another and we should look at the things we do from the point of view of the people who we are helping.

This book is a must read for all of us. As the world population grows older, the advice in this book will become more and more topical for everyone.

An excellent resource directory is presented at the back, packed with essential resources for seniors. These are great resources and highly useful to both seniors and caregivers.

This is a terrific book and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a caregiver or a senior.

This is an extrememly insightful and eminently readable guide for the many of us who are struggling to care for our aging loved ones. As as clinical psychologist working with families and specializing in child therapy, I have been uncertain how to advise parents when they describe the challenges they face with raising their children while also caring for their own parents and aging relatives. Now, with The Caregiver's Essential Handbook, I have an excellent source of practical information and advice to offer overwhelmed families. The 1,200 tips are clearly organized and easy to locate. There are invaluable phone numbers and web sites listed in the Appendix. All in all, one can just pick up this book for a few moments and gain a lot of invaluable information.

I am extrememly grateful that my colleague Sasha Carr and Sandra Choron have provided this wonderful resource. It will make a great difference in many families' lives.

A tremendous lifesaver for caregivers...

As a clinical psychologist specializing in geriatrics, I am frequently asked to recommend resources for desparate and overwhelmed caregivers who don't know how to handle the tremendous burden of aging loved ones, particularly those who are dementing. Anyone who works in gerontology or is a caregiver herself, knows that caregivers have precious little time or energy for research and reading. They want PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS and ADVICE delivered in a way they can understand. Until this book, there hasn't been anything I could strongly recommend that is 1) accessible; 2) practical; 3)professional; 4) concise; and 5) pleasurable to read.

I am thrilled that my colleague Sasha Carr, a specialist in health and aging, and Sandra Choron have finally given caregivers around the world such an expert, yet practical, compilation of information and advice such as:

1) 20 specific "Good Outings"

2) If your senior always wants to wear the same outfit, buy duplicates

3) Buy "Thick It" to add to thin liquids if your senior finds swallowing thicker liquids easier (very common)

4) If your senior balks at having her hair washed because it's disturbing for her to get water in her eyes, put petroleum jelly around her hairline before washing her hair

All 1,200 tips are divided into common-sense categories, making it easy to locate the information you need. Needless to say, the book is also chock-full of relevant phone numbers and web sites in an Appendix, and also includes a helpful index.

The Caregiver's Essential Handbook is just that, and has become the "go-to" guide that I now recommend to patients and caregivers.

The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Colds and FluI thought it offered many good tips over and above the"wash your hands" idea. I would highly recommend the book.

En general, muy valiosa informacion que de seguro me hara ahorrar mucho dinero.

Psoas Release Party!: Release Your Body From Chronic Pain and Discomfort

Psoas Release Party!: Release Your Body From Chronic Pain and DiscomfortThis neat little book unravels the psoas and it's terrain in engaging fashion. The muscle is explored fully from it's anatomy to it's interaction with the abdominal internal organs and nervous system to its release and (finally) stretch.

The text is concise and lively. There are lots of helpful illustrations.

I've attended Fitzgordon's Psoas Release Party in person years ago and my regular yoga practice (and street practice) underwent substantial change. It's heartening to see that so much of the spirit and content of the live event have been incorporated into the book. No more reliance on my hastily scrawled notes.

Jonathan is a scholar of the human anatomy. He carefully breaks down the mechanics of the iliopsoas and how to maintain homeostasis in the body. His book covers the entire lifespan, and highlights three major muscle groups which will inform your body in a whole new way. Jonathan believes that walking is "a core event", and I wholeheartedly respect this philosophy. I have noticed tremendous ease in my body because of his simple yet effective release exercises. My posture continues to improve. Thank you, Jonathan!

Surviving Natural Disasters and Man-Made Disasters

Surviving Natural Disasters and Man-Made DisastersOn receiving this book after it was posted on Amazon. I sat in my recliner and read this complete book in less that 20 hours. The book is very well written as the words just flow. The desire to know the information as quickly as possible was bubbling inside of this past victim . I was thrilled to see the documentation for additional information such as the info on ham radio classes and where and how to obtain info on buying your own hand held unit and how to apply for your license. Plus over 100 other sites to get us organized from the American Red Cross to Homeland Security. The many classes that these ladies not only wrote about but sat through themselves in order to pass this information along

to us.

They have done their homework and it shows. The many forms on how to organize your family or business and get your information ready to travel if the need should arise.

This is very important preliminary work... if one waits until the storm strikes or the earth shakes it is to late to think of getting organized... remembering the telephone numbers that you can not recall while you stand there shaking with fear.... Been there and done that....

Good luck.

Essential reading for being prepared for what might come. No one wants to have to think a disaster is headed their way but wouldn't it be better to be prepared. This book is exactly what is needed to have a plan for yourself and loved ones. Plans, creating kits and drills in the book make it easy to take the steps to protect what is essential to survive should disaster stike. The perfect gift.

Naturally Healthy Babies and Children: A Commonsense Guide to Herbal Remedies, Nutrition, and Health

Naturally Healthy Babies and Children: A Commonsense Guide to Herbal Remedies, Nutrition, and HealthThis book was given to me as a gift and it truly is a gift that keeps on giving. I have referenced this book often and used many of the herbal remedies on myself with much success. This book is easy to read and is packed with information on safe use of healing plants.

When my friends ask me what book I recommend for wholistic health, herbalism or naturally healthy children THIS book is at the top of my list.

You will find more information packed in here than you would in five traditional childcare books. Aviva fills the pages with not only commonsense but easy-to-read-and-understand remedies for a wide array of childhood illnesses and complaints. She also includes a lot of information for expecting moms that are healthy, effective words of wisdom. If you are familiar with using herbals and a hands-on approach to illness, then this book is a refreshing compilation of information that will result in you nodding your head in agreement. It is also wonderful to have all the different illnesses and remedies in one place. No more searching for that stray note or book with one quick blurb about a possible remedy for this or that. If, on the other hand, you are not familiar with using anything but a regular doctor or over-the-counter medicine for every illness, this book will be comforting for you as well. It is not an anti-doctor approach at all; in fact there are certain areas in which Aviva mentions that using a doctor is necessary. However, she also includes things that the parent can do to accompany the doctor's techniques. Everything in this entire book is very empowering to parents and women who are expecting. Often, the first thing we are told to turn to is an over-the-counter med or a quick trip to the doctor's office, and we are left feeling helpless to comfort our children. Aviva stresses how important and powerful the mere touch of a parent is in the healing of a child, and she supports the idea that there is emotional healing to be done as well as physical healing for any illness. The herb list is extensive and there are many easy-to-follow directions for tonics, teas, washes and other healing ideas that can be made at home, even by a sleep-deprived parent. The remedies do not involve a lot of searching for hard-to-find ingredients or supplies. Each remedy is simple and starts with a non-invasive approach. I recommend this book for any expecting couple, new or experienced parent. You will find yourself turning to it again and again .

Staying Power: Age-Proof Your Home for Comfort, Safety and Style

Staying Power: Age-Proof Your Home for Comfort, Safety and StyleThis is a very valuable book for people like me, in my 70's and planning to continue to live at home. It's also valuable for the grown children of older people. It alerts them to signs that parents need help and tactfully suggests how to do some needed interventions. I like that each chapter discusses the impairments people may become subject to and then goes on to recommend ways to avoid or ameliorate problems. Since there are so many ideas (22 pages on falls alone) I appreciated that at the end of each chapter there are lists of things to do and resources, so one does not have to go back and skim through the chapter to get the desired information. In addition, there's a very fine list of resources such as government agencies, specialized books, and places to buy equipment at the end of the book The book has some of the information we've read about, but much much more. Who knew that fires are the second leading cause of injuries to older people? I've started to implement some of the suggestions for keeping to my medicine schedule, and will certainly implement other things as I go along. Definitely a book to buy and keep handy!!!!

This book was in my handbag on a cross country flight from San Francisco to New York--where I headed to visit my Dad, being treated for cancer and my Mom, who is caring for him.

Both of my parents are in their eighties and live independently in a two story colonial home--I am 55.

This book is written in a friendly, common sense tone. I knew that I had come to the right place when I read in the introduction that the book would focus on "things you can do relatively quickly without superior strength or elaborate tools."

And so it does. Upon arrival at my parent's home, I immediately took stock of Rachel's Top Tips for A Stable Home (page 65), investigating tripping hazards, talking to my folks about safer footwear, (I ordered socks with traction features on the bottom, a.k.a. hospital socks) and making sure that furniture that my Dad might hold on to for support on his way to the bathroom in the middle of the night was "strong and stable."

Mind you, not every suggestion that I made was met with delight, but author Adelson offers a list of books that can help adult kids communicate with their older parents who may be resistant to change.

The list of resources and recommended reading at the back of the book also helped to get me in touch with the National Association of Geriatric Care Managers--private health and human service specialists who help families care for older relatives.

The section, Bits and Pieces--Working Out Wherever--offered helpful exercise tips for the entire family.

I especially liked the encouraging tip, "if it is not possible to do what was done before, celebrate and develop what can be done now." That is a lesson for all of us over fifty!

You can read this book all at one time, as I did on my five hour flight. Or you can dip into it as needed for advice from Adelson, a journalist with graduate certificates in aging and public health, who offers personal anecdotes, as well.

Highly recommended--in print and Kindle editions--where you can adjust the type size for easier reading!

How to Cut Children's Hair

How to Cut Children's HairI complimented a friend of mine on how nice and neat her four children's hair always looked and wanted to know if her hairdreser was very expensive. When she told me that she cut her kids hair I didn't believe her.

she loaned me her copy of How to Cut Childrens Hair to try out and I was able to to cut my son and daughters myself. I'm usually not very good at following directions, but the pictures made it very easy to follow. I even cut my husbands hair now. I just bought my own copy to use. This book s excelent. The only drawback is that now my brother and sister want me to cut their kids hair too. Also, this is the funniest how to book I've ever read.

How to Cut Children's Hair is a really good book. Beautiful drawings help so much! Instructions were clear. Gave my young grandson a haircut and it looks good. I tried cutting my husband's hair following Larry Dunlap's instructions and that turned out okay too. Like the good humor and the clever tips on how to keep kids still and safety tips too. learning how to hold the scissors from the drawings made a huge differnce (I tried to cut his hair before and it was terible this time it was pretty darn good and I think I will get better using this book) Seeing all the styles shown was nice too and also tips on buying scisors etc. I would giv e this a 10 star rating!

Cardio Core 4x4: The 20-Minute, No-Gym Workout That Will Transform Your Body!

Cardio Core 4x4: The 20-Minute, No-Gym Workout That Will Transform Your Body!I ordered this book because I am a runner who tends to ignore the whole strength-training side of the exercise spectrum. Having been through a few courses of PT to fix various running-related injuries, I was intrigued by Jay's concept of "prehab" -getting people to do strengthening/PT-like exercises BEFORE they are actually injured. Because this book promised to focus on the core and specifically on the hips and glutes (the parts I've ended up in PT for in the past), I thought it would be just what I needed. And the idea of getting it done in only 20 minutes, at home, with no equipment was appealing -given the choice between spending an hour driving to the gym and lifting weights or an hour going for a run, I was picking the run every time (which is why I kept ending up injured!)

The pros: I was right -this book is exactly what I needed. The exercises are like hardcore versions of the ones I learned in PT. They target just the right body parts and after doing them just a couple times, I notice a difference in the way my hips and legs feel during a run. None of the exercises require any equipment, and they give you a good workout. Though there's not a whole lot of cardio involved (there is some -mostly jumping exercises), I am drenched in sweat by the time I finish. The background story Jay gives of his life and how he ended up coming up with this program is entertaining and easy to read, and his tone is motivational with out being overly peppy or annoying.

The cons: Let me say up front that I am not the most coordinated person on the block -I usually need a couple times of watching an exercise video before I get the steps down and I've given up on anything that requires complicated footwork (like Tae Bo) because I'm just too klutzy. That said, I found the descriptions of some of the exercises very difficult to follow. There are pictures and text, but sometimes, even with reading and re-reading the text and studying the pictures, I still can't figure out what I am supposed to be doing. I have found that some of the descriptions aren't very well done -for example, there's just a generic instruction at the beginning of the exercise part of the book to "repeat each exercise 10-20 times". Then the exercises are shown. But some exercises involve multiple steps (such as circling your leg one way then the other) -I'm not sure whether you are supposed to go 10 times one way then 10 times the other or whether you are supposed to go one way then reverse and repeat that 10 times. Other places, the title of the exercise will be something like "Forward/Backward Circles" but the description only talks about going forward. There is nothing in the description, anywhere, about going backward. I assume from the header I'm supposed to do that, but it doesn't actually say. I suppose this isn't life-or-death important -I've just been guessing and doing what I assume is the right thing. But I'm a bit anal-retentive when it comes to my workouts so I hate not knowing EXACTLY what I'm supposed to be doing.

And perhaps it's just because I'm still unsure about the exercises but it is taking me way longer than 20 minutes to do each workout -I'm hoping I'll get faster as it becomes more second-nature. But still the 4x4 workout is a series of several exercises -first 21 exercises performed on hands and knees, then 5 performed on hands and feet facing up at the ceiling (like crab postion) then 6 more (plus a cooldown) done while sitting/lying on the ground. That's 32 separate exercises (more than half of which have to be done twice, once for each leg) at 10-20 reps each -I just don't see any way that's going to fit into 20 minutes.

Jay Cardiello now has a series of exercise videos called jcore that I believe is based on this book. I am tempted to order them because 1) I could see a video demonstration of some of these confusing exercises and 2) since they are limited by video runtime, the workouts would actually stick to the 20 minute promise. Alas, the video set costs over $100, which is why I decided to start with this book. I just wish that the descriptions of the exercises were clearer and also that there was some sense of progression -a "beginners should do 5 reps of this exercise, 10 reps of this one, skip this one while intermediate/advanced exercises should do X" sort of thing. I enjoyed reading the first part of the book so much and was so inspired to try the exercises and then I just found myself utterly flummoxed by the poorly written descriptions and lack of overall guidance when it came to the workout part. I think this could be a great exercise book if only the exercise part was easier to follow! I'm still going to keep up with the workouts as best I can because I can see that they are benefiting me -I just wish I knew exactly what I was supposed to be doing. Perhaps I'll be asking Santa for the jcore videos for Christmas!

I have followed numerous workout routines over the years, trying to find the 'right one' that I can do at home to make a seriuos difference in the way I look. Jay's routine worked like a charm my hips slimmed down, my abs became literally ROCK solid, my arms developed the long lean cuts I always wanted, my back got a LOT stronger and my back pain disappeared for good, and my legs leaned out perfectly (hello skinny jeans!). The exercises in this book are genious, and I was able to start out very easy and progress the level of difficulty as I needed. I saw results literally within a few days of following his entire plan. My clothes started to feel big on me and I felt so much stronger. The results have only because more noticeable ever since, for the first summer ever I felt confident on the beach. Now I know how to fit the most effective workout in to my schedule no matter where I happen to be. My daily tasks no longer seem as difficult as they once did, my core is rock solid, and I'm so happy I finally look the that I want! I HIGHLY recommend this book for everyone.... you won't be disappointed.

Jay C. has here written a manifesto on fitness. Without being preachy, nor demanding any specific religion or denomination the chapter on "spiritual" fitness is right on the mark. The chapter on "emotional" fitness is perhaps over simplified. The chapter on nutritional fitness is easy to follow and accurate, if a little over simplified. These three chapters are more than a repeat of what your mother taught you at her knee. They also are organized and practical. Some of the advice is derived from folklore, and I doubt if truly scientifically tested. There are many observations like the number of bacteria per square inch on the bottom of a woman's purse that are well worth noting, and that if the advice is taken (don't put your purse on the dinner table) would improve one's hygiene and health.

Then Jay delivers his 4 x 4 program. This can all be squeezed into a 4 foot by 4 foot space without any tools other than your own body. The program is divided into standing, on all fours, and inverted on all fours. I fully agree that if an individual can complete the entire program, over time he/she will improve their physical fitness and their appearance. I think many computer jockeys without previous work out or Yoga experience would be hard put to perform at least a quarter of the exercises. For instance, positioning one self on hands and knees, thread one leg cross under the body and then up, twisting the body, so that one arm and the belly button now point to the sky while maintaining the posture on one leg and one arm. Yes, Jay admits his program owes much to Yoga traditions. The exercise directions when aligned with the pictures are simple enough and fairly easily followed. The entire program is a good core program and will improve posture and stability of any person. The cardio aspects come from the number and speed of the repetitions needed to complete the program in 20 minutes.

Would attending Yoga classes be better? That depends on the Yoga style attempted. Also, Jay intends this program to be self directed and available anywhere anytime. Living rural, I do not have Yoga class experience but have worked through many Yoga DVD's. I feel Jay's program is beyond basic Yoga classes. The same goes for Pilates from which Jay also borrows.

While this is a good book with many good observations, hints and a good program, I think the difficulty level of several of the exercises and the folklore nature of many of the suggestions as to emotional and nutritional fitness take it out of the five star recommendation level.

Ultimate Physical Fitness in 5 Minutes: The Worlds Shortest, Most Intense Bodyweight Workouts Ever!

Ultimate Physical Fitness in 5 Minutes: The Worlds Shortest, Most Intense Bodyweight Workouts Ever! This book has pretty much changed the way I look at fitness, It's been kicking my butt and I love every minute of it. I've been doing workouts out of it for my entire special forces battalion and we can't get enough of it. Johnny Grube has pretty much designed the best work-outs I have ever seen. I just made my entire section bear crawl for an entire mile today, never reliazed how under rated the bear crawl is...great core exercise.

Gruber's philosophy of "training as a lifestyle" was a paradigm shift to me. Rather than spending 30 minutes in the gym, I will do a few minutes several times a day. Two minutes before having a shower, one minute before lunch, three minutes ... you get the idea. This is TOTALLY different to committing 30 minutes to going to the gym. Living, working and training become one. It's much easier to follow when leading a busy lifestyle. I'm not stressed thinking "oh, I need to go to the gym today." I can workout out almost anywhere. No need for tools. My body is my tool.

(-) The subtitle is useless and misleading. Grube doesn't need a catchy subtitle: he holds 10 world records. 10!

(-) He needs dearly a proofreader and an editor.

(+) The following sentence that summarizes his philosophy very well: "You can bench 300lbs and not be in shape, but you can't do 100 straight push ups unless you are in shape."

(+) For a strong body and lean body, he advocates fast and short training. It makes sense. Compare the bodies of a long-distance runner vs. a sprinter. The former tend to look fragile while the later looks strong.

(+) I love this: if you eat natural (i.e. eat clean), it makes sense to train natural (i.e. only bodyweight exercises).

(+) The book is thin and can be read quickly. Nobody needs another 300 page book.

(-) He is against jogging/running, but forgets the "mental benefits." After 10 hours sitting at a computer, I love to go for a run of 30 minutes, listen to music and switch of my brain. Running can be very therapeutically.

(+) He doesn't ask his readers to do sit-ups. That's great. That means, that he understands the futility of sit-ups.

(+) Grube keeps it very simple. I strongly agree with him, that it's much easier to follow a simple plan continuously. Every day. All year round.

(+) I love this: if you eat natural (i.e. eat clean), it makes sense to train natural (i.e. only bodyweight exercises).

(+) Few people think of pushups as a fat loss exercise. We need to re-think pushups and incorporate it in our daily life.

(+) While there might be no "perfect exercise", the Burpee comes close. You can do it almost anywhere. I'll incorporate Burpee's in my daily life. One minute of Burpee's a few times a day gets you far.

Kudos to Johnny Grube

The content is straight forward and the variety of the workouts will prevent boredom and the infamous mythical plateauing.

One caveat, Johnny Grube needs a good proofreader and competent editor to clean up the errors and syntax in his writing. It is all readable but the errors grate on this writer's sensibilities.

First off let me just say, I'm after the hard functional muscles. I thought this book would be good for me based on the reviews.

My problem with the book is that it reads like a rant. The author is VERY full of himself. Its his way or you're wrong. Some of what he has to say, from my perspective is insulting, which really makes me dislike this guy.

There is a section in the book where he talks about fat lazy Americans. He claims that these fat lazy Americans aren't men. He says they pour gallons of booz down their throats which also makes them drunk stupid Americans.

I bought the book because I'm out of shape. He has insulted me by saying "I'm not a man". I have a drink from time to time (much less now days). He has insulted me by saying I'm drunk and stupid.

Tips for Grube #1: Don't insult your customers if you wish to keep them as customers.

Tips for Grube #2: Target your material at your audience, not yourself. In other words, tailor it to the people who will be reading it, not to people who are like yourself.

There is also a serious lack of professionalism throughout the book. Poor editing throughout, bad spelling, grammar, punctuation. A lack of effort in editing makes me wonder how much effort/scientific research he puts into his "program".

Tips for Grube #3: Don't skimp on public appearance or people will easily be able to question your legitimacy. Finish the book before releasing it.

Thank you for reading my review! If you enjoyed it, be sure to rate it as helpful.

Want Ultimate Physical Fitness in 5 Minutes: The Worlds Shortest, Most Intense Bodyweight Workouts Ever! Discount?

This book, minus spaces, is less than 80 pages. How do short leaflets like this keep getting written--and sold? I guess the fact that this slim, uninspiring "you-can-find-it-free-on-the-internet" trash is self-published should tell you something.

I can tell you right now that most of the 5 star reviews here are from this "experts" friends and family. For a start, the book is appallingly badly written, from start to finish. I won't even get into the poor writing ability of the author: I would be astonished if he finished kindergarten, let alone high school, based on this garbage.

That would be okay if the content were great, but the author puts forward very basic, boring workouts. Intensity is a great thing, but I can tell you to do squats until you collapse and although that's intense it's not very enlightening or interesting to read about.

The book is crap. Avoid.

Cure Your Cancer: Your Guide to the Internet

Cure Your Cancer: Your Guide to the InternetOK, sorry for the pun, but it's true. Bill Henderson has found a way to provide the best researched PROVEN treatments and CURES for cancers of all shapes and sizes in an easy to read and understand format. While waiting for my doctors to schedule, execute and analyse a biopsy of my neck (prior tests have made them suspect some kind of lymphoma), I started doing some research of my own and stumbled across Bill's fabulous book. I immediately started upping my dosages of some of the supplements I was already taking, and added some others recommended by several of the doctors and scientists mentioned in the book. I also modified my diet somewhat. Within 3 days of starting, the seering and throbbing pain I was experiencing DISAPPEARED! The mass in my neck, what ever it is (still haven't got the results back from the biopsy) softened and shrunk by 20-30%. Within a week, I can now see the shape of my face again (mass now smaller by over 50%!!), and I feel like I am winning my fight already! I am still fine-tuning my protocol based on many of the recommendations in Bill's book, have several supplements on order through discount nutrient providers (all found in the book), and have been constantly reading new material through many of the links provided within the book. It may only seem like 200 pages or so, but with the links to other invaluable sites as well as the newsletter archives on Bill's website, you too can become an "expert" on cancer and alternative treatments in a very short time. And you can keep learning new proven techniques because Bill is contstantly researching and updating his site with the latest and greatest. This book could literally save your life or the life of someone you love. Even if no one you know has cancer, you can learn how to insure that you and your family never get it by reading this book and learning EXACTLY what causes cancer (turns out it's pretty simple!) and how you can make yourself virtually cancer-proof. I only wish I knew this information 3 years ago when my Dad was battling leukemia. Chemo did not save him. Read this book. You won't regret it.

With a whole world of information out there on the internet about cancer it can leave you confused and feel like you are running around in a maze not knowing where to turn or what to believe. This book helped me get informed and ready to help my mother in just a few hours.

I found Bill Henderson's book to be an excellent overview of numerous natural treatments for cancer. He is not selling any product or promoting a single treatment method. Instead I found the book to be an extemely well written, intelligent, concise and to the point overview of many excellent natural cancer treatments. Also included are treatments that will help people already on chemotherapy.

The book allows you to track down more information about your favourite treatment by providing website addresses and suggests where you can get natural products at the cheapest prices (in the USA). It really helps the reader to be fully informed about ALL their options other than just surgery, radiation or chemotherapy.

The testimonials were very convincing and helped me to to have the confidence to help my mother who was near death (suffering from advanced metastic breast cancer that has spread to the liver, lungs, ovaries and bones) to keep taking dried barley greens. Within 2 days her strong pain levels had improved. After 9 days she was COMPLETELY off all pain and nausea medication and in NO PAIN whatsoever. I am so thankful I read this book and became more informed about the many, well known, tried and proven natural treatments out there.

Thankyou Bill Henderson.

I found the book to be very informative. I learned much from Bill's research and Heaven knows I could not have found out much of it on my own. I was diagnosed with Mantle B Cell Lymphoma in Feb 2001. As of the last biofeedback test that was run on me, the cancer was pronounced dead. I have visited with Bill on the phone and he is a very genuine person and has a true desire to help people and his years of research have benefited many people. I admire someone that is willing to go to the extent of research that Bill has and check out his findings and all that to help total strangers. I recommend the book to any one facing the terror of cancer for themselves or their family.

After stumbling across Bill Henderson's book, I immediately endeavoured to be my own guinea pig and try out his products. For several years, I was experiencing hormonal instability and, as a result, was chronically ill and suffered from facial blemishes.

After taking Hydroxygen Plus, Mega Minerals and Coral Calcium as well as Modifilan, I noticed an immediate change to my skin, my eyes and my general health. My GP advised me to get off these products but I dismissed her advise as conventional medicine proved to be useless to me for so long. It is now very cold in Melbourne, and everyone I know is suffering from the cold or flu or is feeling run-down. In the past, I would be the first to be sick, but I have not been ill at all.

People always comment on how good my skin looks and how healthy I look in general. I am so impressed with these products and recommend them to everyone. People are still reluctant to try them out as they listen to their doctors who warn them that they do not work. My only ammunition though is that I am the perfect example of recovery.

Well done Bill Henderson! I only wish that we had Oxygen Therapy in Australia and that the products were sold here. Nobody knows about these products but I am hoping to make a change.

Many Regards

Vicky
