The list of foods you should avoid at all costs were very useful as well.. I learnt things I didn't expect. Thanks for a great book. Seriously under-priced for the value it offers.I don't normally leave reviews for these type of books, however when I was snooping around on my girlfriend computer I found clean skin book. My first reaction, oh no what a pile of junk. To my surprise, this book really provide natural ideas to get ride of spots and acne. My only concern is, will this affect sales of the so called magic pill clean skin products, only time will tell. This information is quite overwhelming, that being said If you are determined to get ride of spots naturally this is well worth the price. From sleep deprivation, to hormonal acne, to diet, Jennifer covers the causes of acne with suggestions on how you can combat them, including relaxing chamomile to meditation,to diet (and more)... to my very favorite part, natural remedies and recipes that can very effectively take the sting out of your zitz. If you are one of my clients or have read my articles and books you know that natural skin care solutions are my passion. This little book is for those looking to take acne into their own hands (pardon the pun). It's a solid addition to your natural skin care library. It didn't take long after beginning to read this to realize this is an amateur project, plagued with typos, grammatical errors and such. Beyond that, the information is often wrong, scarce (many missing explanations) and you can read the entire "book" in half an hour. Only a portion of the remedies is actually natural, which is deceiving since that's not what the title implies. Many of the remedies are well known and can be found on the internet, and some are just bad advice (i.e. putting toothpaste on your face). This is not surprising considering most of the information seems to be based on hearsay and anecdotal evidence. No references are listed and no explanations for why some of these "remedies" would actually work. The author herself didn't even experience acne and claims she did the research in order to help her friends. Just to give you an idea of how misinformed she is, In the section about food, entitled "Acne aggravating foods you must avoid at all costs", she lists items like bananas, tomatoes and mushrooms, but not dairy. In this book, author describe in very great detail different areas of Skin care. I like very most the home made
receipe for Acne, which is very straight forward and easy to follow. Jennifer also describe Meditation
and different kind of meditation. Overall this book cover all aspect of health and beauty, which makes very
unique in it's kind.
