Got this today and must say after the brief glimpse-over, I already know it is a must-read for anyone with a loved one in a nursing home. Of course, it is highly beneficial to have read this even before the patient is admitted, but, even if you pick this book up after your parent has already been a resident, it is still an excellent source of info. Oftentimes when a loved one is admitted, you cannot think stright, everybody is offering advice, you may not know what all you can expect, and some people may guide you wrong. But this book helps to help you see things more clearly and help you to understand things. This book will totally help make the best and the most of a very difficult situation, which can oftentimes be a draining one. While many of the things may seem commonsense, a lot of them are overlooked, and because of the overwhelming feeling of having a loved one in a nursing home, you may even forget to check into a lot of the 'little' things. This book makes sure you have all your ducks lined up and steers you clear of what issues to look for. If you've got a loved one whom you think may need to soon be admitted in to a nursing home, or have one that is already there, this book is a must-read.
