Emergency procedures, i.e., CPR and the Heimlach Maneuver, are highlighted with red on the edge of the book for quick reference.

Other areas covered are recognizing medical problems, snake and insect bites and sports injuries.

This is a great book to keep with a First Aid Kit.

This book is great for when little Jimmy scrapes his knee. This book is great when you have a medical professional 5 minutes away. If you are looking for survival/emergency guide this is not it.

Very informative and up to date information. I learned a lot more in this book than in taking a first aid class. Illustrations are used when needed to explain how to perform a technique. It is a good tool to have if you want to be prepared for an emergency situation or even if you want to know how to dress a minor wound.

I received this first aid book about a week ago. Upon receipt, I began refreshing myself on several important emergency procedures, such as CPR, seizures, broken bones, and deep cuts or gashes.

I feel the book is pretty complete in its content and description of actions that should or should not be taken by the responder. The book also clearly points out when additional medical advice should be obtained.

Definitions are included, which enhance the value of the contents. Pictures are very detailed. Of course, I would like to see pictures in color, when appropriate, and larger pictures included, but that is just my own desire.

From simple medical first aid for rashes to more complex first aid for heart attacks and stroke, the book has far more than I thought it would ever have. I have recommended the book to several neighbors who have all inquired about the value of having such a guide.
