It is easy to understand and easy to find what you need.It has step by step instructions,warnings,questions to ask Dr, and recommendations on hundreds of conditions and is a must for every household. There is also a handy "signs and symptoms index " that tells you what may be wrong.
I can't believe this book is 15 years-old. I just consulted it for a family member and realized while raving about how helpful a book it is that I never posted a review. It deserves 5 stars. Both my husband and I are self-employed and have very basic (read that very crappy) health benefits. So this book has saved us literally hundreds of dollars over the years. Although I can't always find what I need on the first try, I've found that the problem and solution are generally in there. (A lot of ailments are under "Pain" rather than alphabetical, so start there if you can't find what you're seeking.) It lists symptoms, causes, treatment options and most importantly, when to see the doctor. A real time and money-saver thank you Three Rivers Press!
