I have learned that low level/cold laser has been used in Russia and all over Europe and Asia for over 40 years. Like everything else related to natural healing and homeopathy, Europe is light years ahead of the American medical community in progressive treatment of diseases. Cold Laser saved me from having to endure surgery on both my back and knee sustained in a fall down a flight of stairs. It also cured a long standing problem from a botched surgery when the surgeon sutured a nerve tract that caused me such burning pain I could not function at times. I have had over 200 cold laser treatments and I swear by it.About a year ago I purchased this book and started doing the protocols. My review appears above. Because I was still drinking coffee and not doing the ten-minute therapy twice a week, my problems probably persisted longer than they would has I had been more sensible. Nevertheless, I am now just about 100% cured of peripheral neuropathy. It has been about two months since I have felt any burning sensation in my feet, calves, or sometimes arms. And hardly ever in the last month or so do I feel even a twinge of numbness. Prior to giving up the coffee, about three months ago, I had thought the pain would become more and more insufferable. However, as I say, now it is as good as gone. I'm am truly very appreciative of Dr. DelRe.I have been weightlifting for over 6 years now, and through the years of shoulder and lower back injuries, I was in need of some serious help. When I found this book on Amazon, I was skeptical at first. Treating muscle injuries with an ordinary 5mw red laser pointer (which is one of those laser pointers kids play with) didn't make much sense to me. However, I could not afford expensive medical treatments, so I decided to give laser therapy a try.
After reading the book, I followed the instructions and started treating my left rotator cuff. I must note here that I could hardly work out my shoulders due to my rotator cuff problems. Surprisingly, within a week of treatment, I found my left shoulder recovering faster than ever before. After three weeks of treatment, the pain in my rotator cuff completely disappeared.
Dr.DelRe's book is easy to read, and the illustrations in the book guides you every step of the treatment. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a therapy that is painless... for you and for your wallet. -Sang YongFirst thing is: I don't trust reviews on Amazon or many other places. People are not critical enough in this "feel good" culture we live in. So I'll cut to the chase: I have lots of inflammation and have been looking for help. I have been using cold laser therapy for 3 weeks and so far so good. The best way I can describe it is that it has a sedative effect on angry tissues. His book gives you a history and overview and a deep understanding that money and medicine most of the time do not mix. This therapy is inexpensive relatively speaking, but the reason you don't hear about it is doctors cant get rich healing people with it. But that doesnt mean it is not effective.
Most of the book is instructions on how to use it with various inflammatory maladies.....some you will be able to relate to. His writing is detailed but not complicated. Keep an open mind to this technology. Most of us have tried too many things that do not work.(This review is for the "Rejuvenation: Using the Power of Light to Increase Vitality, Energy and Healing" book by Dr. Lawrence DelRe.)
As far as the physical book goes, this is a short, well written, clear book with some colour pictures too. It is a large format 8.5 by 11 inches soft cover book, with large font high quality print and paper, which is very easy to read and easy on the eyes. It is definitely not a highly technical book with confusing jargon. And as a bonus, it has good grammar and spelling throughout. For about $20-$25, it is a great value too.
It is an open and candid book with lots of interesting topics. Well, it is really all about one topic, but covers many health or bodily conditions for which a simple Laser Pointer may be beneficial. It is an interesting book and you will have a hard time not finishing it in one sitting. The recommendations for the treatments come across quite careful and cautious. Like, really, how much could a few minutes with a single 5mW (or even a 100mW) diffused laser diode held near the skin harm you? But it makes great promises and gives you hope that you can be instrumental in improving your own health without taking expensive drugs that could have unpleasant, and sometimes even detrimental, side-effects.
Do these treatments with a simple Laser Pointer really work? At this point I do not know that and would like to do an update later on when I have tried some of Dr. DelRe's suggestions. It is also very intriguing that most manufacturers of expensive medical quality laser devices, costing thousands of dollars, sometimes recommend lengthy multiple daily treatments (at least initially) for weeks, while Dr. DelRe advocates a `homeopathic' approach that no more than a few minutes a couple of times a week, tapering down to about once a month or even once a year, can yield such dramatic improvements in your health.
In summary, this is a surprisingly well written short book on treating various minor and major health conditions with a basic Laser Pointer. It is certainly an exciting read. Of course, this book is not a thesis on cold laser therapy, but to the best of my knowledge, no other book currently encourages and outlines the use of an inexpensive Laser Pointer for human therapeutic purposes.
