This book explained that "I'm not alone" in my problem of leaking urine or stool. With places to "check off" in the book, I could more easily talk to my physician about my problems. And the illustrations explained so much that I didn't understand about my body. Most importantly, the exercises are working! And they are easy to do. A simple read, with good, solid information and advice, written in an understandable way. Hooray! The author, a physical therapist, is someone who is not afraid to write about a topic often thought of as "taboo" in our culture! Good for her! Now I don't have to worry when I laugh! Now, good for me!
I also want to mention that it seems more focused on urinary issues vs. prolapse.

While this book has good information on how the urinary tract and bowel system work, the solutions are based on purchasing all of their equipment. I received the book and could do nothing because I didn't have any of their proprietary exercise equipment. It would have been FAR more helpful if you could use every day items found in your home. It's a waste if you don't have their special ball, band, wedge, etc! Very disappointing. If you want information, it's great.
