I had to purchase this book for a class. This book is very easy to read and the chapters aren't long. Each chapter is very interesting and is broken down to cover diseases that affect different body systems such as: digestive, cardiovascular, immune, urinary, endocrine, musculoskeletal, and reproductive etc. Other chapters cover blood, genetic diseases, inflammation, infection, and childhood diseases. It's well organized and there are short practice questions at the end of each chapter. There is also a workbook that goes along with this book and it is very helpful as well. The workbook goes into more depth than the short questions at the end of each chapter. I suggest purchasing the workbook if you want additional practice. The book also has plenty of colored photos and illustrations throughout.
