I got this from the library and was surprised that 15 years after publishing, it is still a good book with lots of relevant information. The author walks you through basically each part of your home or office and points out the trouble spots and how to address them (e.g. something like your clothing one problem is the fabric finishes the solution is to buy natural, avoid things like no-iron or no-wrinkle, wash before wearing). This is a practical book focused on what you can do, not just what the problems are. Easy to read, well organized.
I had to chuckle a bit on the section on typewriter correction fluid and things like that that show the book's age. Most is still very relevant though. Amazing how so much can be the same 15 years later. Obviously, there is not nearly as much on electronics as I think there would be today.
Overall a good, practical read.
