I reccomend this book to anyone, no matter your diet. Its easy to read and very informative. If you have a baby, I would reccomend 'Super Baby Food' by Ruth Yaron to go with this.
These to books are awesome if you want your children and yourself to eat health consiously.Lots of good information that unfortunately is not readily available through normal sources. Information from pregnancy right up through teen years. Could help parent avoid doing something that would promote Type 1 diabetes in their child, as well as many other lifelong diseases. Even has a chapter(11) for the athletic child.

This book has good information on nutrition for pregnant women, babies, children and teenagers. It has a chapter for athletic children and teens. Very informative, but not too scientific that the average person would get lost in the science. I gave it to my two daughters one expecting shortly and one with a 2 year old. They were very happy with the book.I love this book! It gives a parent the facts about what to feed a child and how to go about it.
