
I'm just recovering from foot surgery and have been cleared to start my workouts again.. but as usual it's hard to get started. Jason Scott has included everything in this book you need to know for strength training: from Why Strength Training to a Program for strenthg training, suggested excercies and measuring progress. It help me to decide to get off the sidelines and get started.

This easy to read book was nice to read and informative. I did learn quite a few things (like glucose levels and sleep are improved more through strength training than medication). I bought a house last year and have allowed my work on it to dissuade me from my regular workout routine. This book has refreshed my memory about my absolute need as I get older to return to strength training and walking/hiking. I am now determined to start first thing in the morning, and my goal is to once again be able to keep up with my son as we jogged for the car! Thanks for the inspiration!

Strength Training For Seniors is a great guide for maintenance and improvement of their health during their elder years. Giving an example of my mother, with her arthritis she always able to manage this condition only when she exercises. When she stops, her pain and discomfort comes back. Great book.
